Social media users upset over missing Cambodian flag on king's visit to Vietnam

A man named Tara Om has shared pictures of the Cambodian king arriving for a visit to Vietnam on Facebook. The pictures show only Vietnamese flags raised. People are wondering why they did not raise the Cambodian flag, as Cambodia normally greets Vietnamese and other country leaders with their respective flags.

Is it unusual for Vietnam to not raise the Cambodian flag for the king's visit? I don't want to link to the post because of the amount of anti Vietnam hate posts written by delusional people.

Without doing any research..... let a guess that the Cambodian flag will be on the right just off the field of view.

I imagine HRH King Sihamoni won't have minded. From what I've read, he's a humble man, and I imagine he's seen the Cambodian flag on his travels once or twice in the last few years...!
