was at the barbers today and some guys were trying to sort something out, they had either had their passports stolen, or were worried about getting them stolen (due to reading/hearing about what happened)

Re: Sihanoukville: reports of up to 40 foreign passports lost or stolen.
Lots of questions after this episode. Such as, what was the regular means of 'secure' transport used by many (all?) Sihanoukville travel agencies to send passports to Phnom Penh up until now ? If the normal method was sending them unsecured with bus companies like Vireak Buntham, (more than likely), then the agencies are getting a awake up call, reminding them that passports are valuable documents.
The whole thing really sucks for the people that have lost their passports, but If there is a big enough stink about this, maybe the SHV travel agents will be more careful about handling passports in the future.
And yes, names ???

Khmers are changing slowly but surely, This just seems like a big f**k you to foreigners if theres no compensation involved.Anchor Moy wrote:Lots of questions after this episode.
