Sihanoukville Police Actions... Cleaning up the beach.

Breaking news from Cambodia can be found here. CEO often finds Khmer news and translates it into English for our readers if it is interesting to expats, locals, Cambodians living abroad and anyone who wants to stay informed of the latest local and international news stories about Cambodia and our neighbors in South East Asia. There are many sources for Khmer news articles and they can all be found here in one place. Most of the media comes out of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap or Sihanoukville, but we cover national Cambodian news from all provinces.

the cops seem to be playing hardball in SV- looks like they want to flush the riff raff- so dress nice and shave daily boys.
dont wear no funny haircuts either.

well i guess if they are going to target drugs weed will be an easy cop for them.

funny how they are finally moving the way uncle sam wanted them to after all this time just as the western world is legalizing it.

poor old cambodia, always out of step.

I have on a couple occasions, taken a huge bong hit, HELD IT IN and then gotten up to do something and passed out like ten feet into my travel. But then I learned to breathe before getting up to do something. It also did not take me long to realize Nitrous was a bunk high. I kinda wish they left it alone, seeing a lotta balloons would tell me where the idiots were so I could avoid the place. Tho often the raucous noise of dimly lit bulbs inbibing cheap brew is enough.

As to the Man getting serious. Erm, you ain't noticed this goin on in Thaland TOO? Can you spell ASEAN? NOW...no one knows just how that will go but I'd say local biz/gov guys think it'll be a BIG money maker so they're doing very public things to appease the ASEAN gods. That's my take. Of course if it don't pan out, the tea money, etc. that all this stuff generates will come roaring back along with the selective random enforcement. I read where some back peddling is already taking place at the junta top level about the out/in crackdown for one thing.

For all the fuss from the self righteous about culling out the bottom feeders, I don't think they do THAT much harm and tho spend small usually seem to occupy places you hoity toity types don't GO. They ain't any worse than the locals on the lower levels and often they take themselves OUT.

IF they would self moderate, I think it would go a long way. If not? well, just send em to Aussie deportation island. I think the mere WORRY it might happen to YOU makes many a bit more careful about their out/in habits, getting too drunk and walking down the middle of the street singing loudly, etc.

Like it or not, I believe Snooky is linked to Pattaya. There WILL be development and changing regs. This is all the heads up your average smart guy needs. Make some backup plan and enjoy the show. For the others?
Party on Garth.

I'd say one to many bong hits. Nitrous is not a bogus recreational high. More than likely the stuff they sell on the beach was not all NO2 but watered down. (Lots of personal research done on this.) Because of my work in the States I had to submit to surprise drug/alcohol testing so on my off time alcohol and recreational NO2 was the escape of choice as almost anything else would give a positive and unemployment.

i hear that diluted argument about the beach gas a lot... and i've sampled it a pretty fair amount. never had any that seemed especially watered down.

Beach NO2 definitely diluted. The stuff we used to get in the States was way stronger/more pure.

so what- they bring n20 from vietnam, decant 1/2 the bottle into an empty and add compressed air? no- don't think so.
of course it is not diluted.
it is however, scientific rather than medical grade.
