The real question is, "Can any of them swim?"Sailorman wrote: these bozo's in the boats are next to useless. Wonder how much training they had?

Answering your question with a question; how many Cambodians do you know that can really swim ?Username Taken wrote:The real question is, "Can any of them swim?"Sailorman wrote: these bozo's in the boats are next to useless. Wonder how much training they had?
This is not a jab at Cambodians, but I don't think I know any that can swim. Even the ones that grew up by the sea or a river. Parents can't swim and there's no one to teach the kids. This is just my own experience, so FWIW.
Another question for you. Do you think that the guys who get to cruise around on these boats got selected for their swimming skills and superior life-saving techniques ?
Tricky question I know.
The sum total of the two questions should give you an answer.

@AM, so let's get together and start an NGO to teach swimming. We get $$$ from donors, and get to live like kings. Whaddaya say??
We could get voluntourists to fill in the gaps. [another money maker there].

The volunteers could also provide the beer. Aussies would be good - they can all swim and they like beer.Username Taken wrote:@AM, so let's get together and start an NGO to teach swimming. We get $$$ from donors, and get to live like kings. Whaddaya say??

And, they're all top blokes and top sheilas.
Hands up if you don't have, at the very least, your Herald certificate.
I think we're onto a winner here AM!!

I can't swim. Many friends and bf tried to teach me but they gave up on teaching me. maybe it is better to learn from a coache.

A swimming coach would be much better.

Yes, but way expensive... 7$ per hour and 5$ for entry to club per time.rozzieoz wrote:A swimming coach would be much better.
