he took all fees in accordance with department procedures...
Land Official Accused of Corruption

A land management official in Preah Sihanouk province has been accused of corruption, including offering bribes and pocketing state money, according to a complaint filed with the Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU).

Both the ACU’s website and Facebook page on Wednesday said a complaint filed against Noun Pok, the chief of the land management department in Preah Sihanouk province, accused him of corruption.

Some examples of wrongdoing included bribing powerful people in exchange for his position, taking payment outside the law – making land titles for $1,600 and transferring ownership papers for $1,000 – and proposing the removal of subordinates for no reason.

Mr. Pok denied the allegations by clarifying with the ACU that he took all fees in accordance with department procedures and with guidance from the Land Ministry...
