Sihanoukville: foreigner got her bag snatched

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Because it'll mess up their hair?

Are you guys all really walking around carrying box cutters and dummy wallets and expired credit cards and stun guns and pepper spray and wallets on chains?

It's slightly more effective than carrying a kotex and silk panty.

a walking stick with those things built in would be just the ticket.

zap them, spray them, then beat the living shit out of them with your walking stick.

Your local s/market and 7/11 sell a variety of self defence weapons that are quite legal to carry around.
The best ones are the ones that have ammonia in them , and have written on the package, '' caution, do not spray in your eyes ''. They also work great on rabid barking guard dogs that are on the other side of a fence marked ''Beware of Dogs '' clawing at the fence and trying to get you. I proved it works on some near neighbour's dogs in my street in OZ.
For those who don't want to lash out and spend $2 to $3 , water with some lemon juice will do the same trick.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

The fence probably also works great too.

LOL!!!!

When Cam Nivag asks the question, it is rather funny.

But it's like a condom, I'd rather have it with me and not need it than
Need it and not have it!!!!!

But I don't judge people for silk panties too.

Cam Nivag: Are you serious? A little bit of prior planning stops a lot of problems later. Having ridden motorcycle for many years, I prefer a biker wallet with chain. I've never been pickpocketed or left it setting in a counter at a store. I've traveled in third world countries for 35+ years and a little prior planning has saved my ass more than a few times.

Box cutter? Be real, those are for idiots. Go big or go home. The pepper spray you can get here is garbage. Someone threatens your life by trying to steal from you by violence or they want to inflict violence on you, they should realize that have forfeited their life. I don't believe in fighting as mostly its just stupid, but death, that's another story, but I come from a part of America that hasn't been taken over by poofs and liberal.
