Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Sihanoukville: On January 5, a 28 year old Chinese man named Arkor, the owner of Chinese restaurant Cher Boa Chea Ser was arrested for damaging the property of his rented house in Borey B.S in Sihanoukville and disturbing the other residents.
The Chinese man caused a disruption in the neighborhood when he smashed the glass door of his rental house at 4am while he was angry with the son of the house owner,Her Seng. His wife said that when he got blind drunk he wanted to show his anger by smashing up the restaurant property.

When the Sihanoukville police intervened, the man chased them away with a long Knife, so after that the police force of criminal office came back with reinforcements to arrest the Chinese man and take him to the police station to follow the law procedure.

Recently, people in Sihanoukville are worried and are complaining about the increasing number of Chinese people who have come to live in Sihanoukville, causing insecurity in the city, traffic accidents, and disturbing everyday life for local residents.

Thanks! I can't edit my OP's thread title anymore, is it possible to change it to something in the line of: "SHV:Drunk Chop Bloke attacks his own restaurant & does some knife tricks & gets arrested" ? TIA

It's just more practical than "Chinese Top Bloke" , it's a shortened version of it in fact :thumb:
