It seems to me that the search party.on land would do well with a blood hound or other especially trained search and rescue type of dog. Can't CMAC or some other agency provide both a handler and. some type of hound?
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

CMAC dogs are specifically trained to smell for explosives not humans so would be no use in this case, although I take your point sir that surely some agency would have such a dog

Indeed, they are so specifically trained. There are a few of her poslessions that most certainly have her scent, but I am no expert as you pointed out and to further complicate the issue at hand, I'll wager there are some ordinances which is why I saw a trained handler as a prerequisate. Oh well write it off to wishful thinking.angkorjohn2 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 27, 2019 3:14 pmCMAC dogs are specifically trained to smell for explosives not humans so would be no use in this case, although I take your point sir that surely some agency would have such a..."

Re: Search On for Missing Woman, Amelia Bambridge, on Koh Rong
The search for the missing woman has now made the mainstream UK media. There is a suggestion that the parties on Police Beach have a certain reputation. However, someone who spoke to Amelia Bambridge at the party said she showed no sign of being on drugs, but had had a few drinks and looked fine.

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/ ... ian-islandKoh Rong’s regular Police Beach parties have a reputation for extreme hedonism. One online reviewer wrote that they were known for “free drug usage with no police, no restrictions”. Another review stated: “Some questionable things always seem to happen at the parties, so visitors should stay aware when they are there just in case.”
[Ryan Harris, 18, said:]
“She [the friend] said that the last time she saw Amelia she wasn’t on anything,” he said. “She was sober, she’d had a few drinks. The last time she saw her she was fine.”

28 Oct: There's been a further call on social media for volunteer searchers to check in about two hours from now at 7am at Runaways on Koh Rong. Let's hope that today is the day that Amelia is found. Good luck.
