Yeah, that's a specialized Military Police Unit from Phnom Penh. Tough and pretty smart guys. All over the place, take it serious, speak excellent English and actually capable of some "real police work".

Even doubt they've been paid by the other side. Think it's more likely they actually try to start cleaning up the place a bit. Way too much negative press because of these two guys for Snooky and Cambo in general.

Polonsky was sitting in a car outside giggling and tweeting photos while Doroshenko was being arrested. I think that speaks for itself.

Military police surrounded Doroshenko’s Snake House restaurant yesterday afternoon and whisked him away in a black car, to the apparent delight of Polonsky, who tweeted photos of the arrest, signing off with “have a nice day”.

That link doesn't give any indication that he was anywhere in the vicinity of the arrest.

This is from Cambodia Daily, March 26, so not new, but I don't recall hearing about these extra "charges" - lese-majeste? nude photos? drug use ?
The plot thickens. :popcorn:
Benson Samay, a lawyer for Mr. Polonsky—a former billionaire who is wanted in Moscow on multimillion-dollar embezzlement charges—said Mr. Doroshenko had used his client’s signature on the counterfeit documents in order to steal $10 million from their joint Sea Snake Investment Group.

“We demand the $10 million that Doroshenko took…and we also demand $2 million in compensation,” he said.

According to Mr. Samay, Mr. Polonsky has now requested that the provincial court detain Mr. Doroshenko over no less than 14 offenses, ranging from lese-majeste to grand theft auto and trespassing to distribution of photos showing Mr. Polonsky nude and using drugs.
