Riverside tuktuk driver arrested for drug dealing

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Where do the gay ones go?

I've been going to Heart Of Darkness for about 3 years now, never had anyone offer or trying to sell me drugs there. Guess it depends on how you look. Even when I walk the riverside in PP I think I only got offered drugs once or twice in 3 years time. Maybe if you don't look like a bum they'll leave you alone.
I haven't been in Heart Of Darkness for about 10 years. It was a great place back when there weren't many choices, way before then. It went a bit downhill with violence though, especially after that guy got executed on the dance-floor in 2005 and they rebuilt it. I hear it's totally gay now, which is all great but not really interesting to me.
As for the riverside thing, you have to be kidding. There are some really annoying dealers around the junction of 178 and Sisowath Quay. I had some issues with them over the years and it never came to much but I wouldn't advise anyone to push it with them, some of them are right nasty cunts. I just avoid the area and ignore them when they come up in my face offering skunk or whatever bullshit. If you sit down at any restaurant around there you will witness these guys offering drugs to almost anybody passing by. It's kind of hilarious and tragic at the same time to see these elderly tourist couples wandering along the riverside and then suddenly getting offered weed and smack and pussy. It happens in every city but I don't think that's a good look just 50 meters from the park in front of the palace. At the same time, even though I've never actually had a happy pizza I'd like those places to keep on going.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Indeed, Heart of Darkness is 85% gay now. But yes I'm serious I'm in PP twice a month and always take a walk at the riverside but have to think really hard to remember when they offered me drugs there. Maybe they already know my face and know I'm not a tourist? Anyway, I'm not saying there's not a problem with drug dealers there, I did see them offer it to other people plenty of times, just wondering why they think I wouldn't be interested lol

Never understood that saying. Is there any hole on a male or female body where the sun does shine?

pczz wrote: Fri Jan 19, 2018 7:37 pm but a useful resource for some of them. lets face it, even a lot of "straight' tourist are her to dabble in drugs or prostitution and you get the tuktuk drug dealers at the top or 130 and 136. and by pontoon and heart of darkness. Cambodia is becoming a drug destination and moving them from one place to another makes no difference. On the other hand drug tests as part of visa renewal process might remove the customers :stir:
