Rampaging Man Attacks Police with a Scythe

Cambodia Breaking News (Kandal): On September 14, 2019, a 35-year-old man, Thorn Vuthty, was arrested for trying to attack a man for an unknown motive, and then for attacking police officers with a weapon, in Krouch Serch village, Khsach Kandal district, Kandal.
The principal victim has been named as Bean Bour, a 27-year-old road builder.

The suspect, who was released from prison only two months ago, walked to the victim' s house and threatened to kill the victim. Then, he went away and came back with a bottle in his hand and tried to attack the victim. The victim ran away to ask the village chief for help. The village chief called the police, but when the police arrived, the suspect used a scythe to attack the police officers.

After a small skirmish, the suspect was arrested with the evidence. He was sent to the district police station following the legal procedure.
