Police "check-points" suspended immediately

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

The checkpoints in PP will continue for at least awhile, story from the post a couple of days ago said the boss man was watching the traffic around independence monument and said it was a disgrace and embarrassing. Laid all the blame on the (head of the traffic police?), the next day, checkpoints nearly everywhere. First offence is 3 days impoundment and rising with each additional offence.

Seems that the police in Kampot didn’t get the memo.

They’re just putting the barriers up now ready for their favourite rush-hour stop at the old bridge.

Yesterday the cow was relieved of its milk here (Ban Lung) as well at their usual spot at the new Tai Seng market.

Must be some communication error, I am sure it will be resolved quickly.

The big boss man probably made the basic error of sending it to the lower ranks by email.

Or you could stick it to the man, leave now and go a different way home. :thumb:

I hear the big man has an excellent security team providing safety, so I am sure I am fine on my way home.

Well, as long as I avoid the motorbikes without light, the motorbikes with the fancy white lights at the back, the occasional truck parked at the side of the road without any markings, the drunk landcruiser drivers, the inexperienced Lexus drivers using left and right feet to speed their 16 years old smoking car home, and so on...

I guess I will be fine as usual.
