Poachers Kill Bull Elephant on a Cashew Farm in Mondulkiri

Mondulkiri, Cambodia News: Mr. Neth Pheaktra, Secretary of the Ministry of Environment reported that a large bull elephant was found dead in a cashew farm in Keo Seyma district, Mondulkiri. The body was found intact with both tusks cut off.

After examining the elephant, it was clear that it had been shot by poachers for the ivory. There was a bullet wound in the head and both tusks and the tail were removed. Authorities and environmental officers officer are conducting a search for the killers in order to arrest them for poaching.
