Re: Piece of Crumbling Building Falls on Woman's Car
Was thinking this as well, better a car than a person, obviously. Lots of old buildings with rusting reo about the place. Former US embassy is one that should be demolished. It's a shame because the 50s style of architecture is really nice.GMJS-CEO wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2020 4:29 pmI’m just happy the car was there to force people walking to walk in the street.timmydownawell wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2020 4:03 pm Would have missed if she hadn't parked on the footpath.

I have seen lots of buildings that look like that, all the concrete is so badly degraded they look terrible. Will they just fall apart piece by piece or will they collapse one day?timmydownawell wrote: ↑Sun Jul 26, 2020 9:53 amWas thinking this as well, better a car than a person, obviously. yes, they didnt put enough cement in it, its basically sandstone that erodes with the rain, which then exposes the steel to rust away as wellDoc67 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 26, 2020 10:19 amI have seen lots of buildings that look like that, all the concrete is so badly degraded they look terrible.
