Out of sight, out of mind.

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

This is not new.
As LTO mentioned above, it has happened numerous times before over the past umpteen years.
Usually, it happens just before an event. Something like when there are International dignitaries coming to visit the city.

Anything coming up soon that requires a 'clean' look to the city?
I seriously doubt it has anything to do with electioneering.

Not sure I understand. Do you mean forcing the kids or forcing PSE to take the kids?

Import of poor refugees? Perhaps it's a practice run.

its obvious to me;
they want to get all the homeless off the streets to make room for the arrival of the Cambodian migrant workers fleeing thailand

I think they should trade them for Australian refugees.

Seems their rounding up CSWs too:
According to transgender rights activist Sou Sotheavy, more than 20 sex workers were rounded up on Monday night and Tuesday morning by municipal social affairs staff and were being held at the My Chance rehabilitation center.

And here's where they have been sent, My Chance:
Cambodia's long-pilloried drug detention centres continue to be hotbeds of violence, sexual abuse and forced labour, and serve more as a place to keep “undesirables” out of sight than as centres of rehabilitation...

I wonder where the other captured women and kids have been sent.

No, but I assume they were probably street walkers.

I saw this one by the old market about 3 pm. I think she was heading down to the Double D Bar.

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.
