One Man Died and Several Are Being Hospitalized After They Were Hit With Big Wave

According to Huy Benleng, a man died at the beach while several other were saved but still in serious condition and currently are hospitalised at the provincial hospital. Around 4:00 pm on 19 August 2016, a group of people about 10, were swimming at Ocherteal beach and then were hit by a big wave and dragged into deep water.

According to the video circulated on internet, the man had his legs lifted up and his body shook instead of giving proper CPR.

Sihanoukville: A foreigner man was found dead from drowning on 19 August 2016 at Chay Chumnas beach in Sihanoukville. The veewasn Sharma, was identified as Naveen Sharma, male, Indian, 36 years old. He was a tourist staying in Backpacker heaven in Sihanoukville. Doctor confirmed that he died from drowning.

I do t remember hearing about so many drownings before.

Is this a new thing or just its being reported more often with social media and such?

So what to do? Just complain that no NGO is here to teach CPR.

there was a video circulating a couple of months ago of some young lad that needed CPR and this Aunty or someone resorted to jumping up and down on his chest, looked brutal, and he didnt survive, not sure if it was posted on here or not
