Hang on there the site owner was the one who highlighted the possible embarrassment of being a 'john' . Maybe you should read the thread!
And yes it is so easy to find fault with some not most users on this forum when every other thread is about sleeping with prostitutes.
Is it legal to have sex with hookers where you come from? In the Us and many other countries it is not,why is that?

ps I meat and drink with lots of people here!

pps the reason why I tried out this forum was as I was told it was informative in regards to Cambodia. They should've made it clear they meant all aspect in regards to the sex trade in SE Asia.

some rights organisations advocate legality as a way to suppress trafficking.

I think you will also find it is legal in many of the jusrisdictions you cite.

as to shame, that is entirely subjective.

I cited the US and did not say it is illegal in Cambodia . I asked why it is illegal in the US!
So why do you think it is illegal,have you ever had to sell yourself for sex(that assuming someone would pay)?

Illegal in the USA ,Japan,China and the UK,wtf are you on about when you state : education, and a high income have a high correlation with legality,when the 4 out 5 leading countries by GDP paying money for sex is illegal.

Illegal in the US,( bar Nevada), most of the ex-soviet block, China, the Middle East and a lot of Africa.
However, just because it's illegal doesn't mean it doesn't exist, and usually conditions are more difficult for sex-workers in countries where prostitution is illegal because they are not protected by the law.
