That's young.

Re: A drunken Englishman died on Tuk Tuk
SOS doctor said he was very sick and refused to treat him? Doesn't say much for the SOS clinic/hospital and its doctors. They take an oath (but maybe not in Cambodia) Do no harm. I believe death is a lot of harm. I hope I'm never sick and taken to the SOS.
Re: A drunken Englishman died on Tuk Tuk
Do you think it's possible that he died at SOS, and they did not want to deal with the hassle, so they told someone "He's really sick take him in a tuk tuk to Calmette"?
That's cunning.
That's cunning.

Possible? I think it's likely. Hell, that's probably what his hotel did too.Cam Nivag wrote:Do you think it's possible that he died at SOS, and they did not want to deal with the hassle, so they told someone "He's really sick take him in a tuk tuk to Calmette"?

Was thinking things were unusually quiet on the expat death front recently and then as seems to be the way a couple happen at the same time. As said 32 is a bit young to die from a heavy sesh.

Very young guy. Dr at SOS said he was serious sick. What was his sickness ? Could Dr at Calmette tell how long did he die? No one know why he died ? RIP.

I also find that strange. What exactly is the treatment for severe alcohol poisoning? An IV drip? That's the one thing every single "doctor" in Cambodia can actually do. I find it surprising that SOS sent him away. Does it require the stomach being pumped out or something? The alcohol is already in the blood stream, so I'd assume that rehydration would be the only option.Sailorman wrote:SOS doctor said he was very sick and refused to treat him? I'm guessing he had no insurance (or wasn't capable of making it known if he did), so they sent him to Calmette.
