Oil Price drops by 40%

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

But the price for gasoline in Camboland stays the same........bastards.
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

I've lost a lot of money on speculative fracking/oil shale driller stocks the past few months. Fucking hell. Oil should be $150 per barrel with all the turmoil in the oil producing countries of the world these days.

Gasoline is $1.00 per gallon less now than a couple months ago, in the US . Thats is about a 30% drop.

Should have hedged yourself with options or something. The whole thing is rigged by the big guys anyways, making it increasingly difficult for the bottom feeders. Probably the west trying to squeeze Russia but who knows. I'm glad I stopped actively trading, too much stress involved.

I was hoping the little guys I invested in would be bought by the big guys. Timing is everything, and I got is wrong. :(

Venture exchange types of stocks are always risky. I played a lot of small mining companies several years back when silver was reaching epic highs, as well as some slightly larger O&G. I typicallly swing traded because it's what worked well for me (major reason why I stopped trading once I moved here), but I once lost quite a bit of money in a long-term investment on a company that should have skyrocketed. They're still in line to revolutionize the whole aluminum industry (Rusal and Rio Tinton Alcan were looking at them) but the big hedge funds bought in and then hammered it down... Hasn't moved the way it should have despite continuous good news. Oh well. Sold it a few months ago after holding it for several years and missing my selling opportunity. That was my last stock. If I were to get anything else here it would be a few long-term plays based on fundamentals. Especially after a crisis. The type you buy and forget about.
