Off his Rocker: Man Attacks Car, and then Police Officer

Cambodia News (Kandal): On May 17, 2020, at 11:30 am, a 30-year-old man, Treang Keochoranai, was arrested for throwing a rock at a man's car and attacking the police officer who was trying to arrest him, in Sangkat Svay Rolum, Takmao city, Kandal. The car driver was identified as Chem Vy, a 35-year-old man.

The police reported that the suspect drove a motorbike in front of the victim's car in Sangkat Svay Rolum, and then, he threw a rock at the car and ran away, causing the victim who was inside the car to get injured on the left cheek.

On May 17, 2020, the police searched for the suspect. At first the suspect denied commiting the crime, and then he grabbed a meat cleaver to attack the police officer while he was being questioned. The officer, named Sreive Sarang, was injured on the left hand during the attack.

The suspect was arrested and sent to the police station for questioning and case preparation.
