So he's not going to enjoy prison time in Australia, then.Username Taken wrote: ↑Tue Jun 06, 2017 8:12 pm This is a better link. His name is on page 2

^^ More interested in him opening his mouth and putting the Beaumont case to rest.

I thought the charges were unrelated to the Beaumont case? Why would he open his mouth and incriminate himself, if he was part of it.Username Taken wrote:^^ More interested in him opening his mouth and putting the Beaumont case to rest.

The court site says his hearing is for submissions which means it's very much unlikely he'll be sentenced then. Probably adjourned the another month or so.weazel wrote:According to the South Australian courts case list (http://www.courts.sa.gov.au/OurCourts/D ... fault.aspx) the sentencing of Anthony Munro is scheduled to go ahead tomorrow, 7th June 2017, at the District Court in Adelaide.

Yes, that’s correct, Munro will now be sentenced on 29th August 2017.
As a sibling of one of Anthony Munro’s victims, I was present in the District court yesterday to witness proceedings.
I thought that members of this forum might find it interesting that during court proceedings it was asserted by Munro’s lawyer, Stephen Ey, that Munro has abstained from acting upon his paedophilic urges since 1990. In fact, it was even stated that Munro has voluntarily chosen to avoid ‘any interaction with children’, since that time.
This was an interesting assertion given the allegations made by certain NGO’s in Cambodia.
Perhaps readers of this forum residing in Cambodia who have evidence which could refute Munro’s claims could provide their evidence to Cambodian officials now (if they haven’t already).
Laws were recently tabled in Australia which propose to confiscate the passports of convicted Australian paedophiles. These laws have been proposed by Australias’ foreign minister Julie Bishop and Senator Derryn Hinch to stop Australian paedophiles from going on ‘child rape holidays’ to south east Asia (http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/opinio ... e57864a534) .
The timing of these proposed laws (30th May 2017) just prior to Anthony Munro’s sentencing (7th June 2017) makes me wonder if the Australian government has finally been forced to reign in their paedophiles as a result of international pressure from countries like Cambodia.
It wasn’t internal pressure from Australian citizens which brought about these laws, that’s for sure. After all, myself and two siblings have been informing Australian officials since 2006 that there were allegations being made that Munro was ‘involved’ with orphanages in Cambodia. Despite our warnings Munro wasn’t arrested until 2016.
However, Julie Bishop and Derryn Hinch should still be congratulated on their efforts as they were not in the appropriate positions to table these laws in 2006. But it must be pointed out that those who were in power in 2006 did nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I hope someone is able to come up with evidence that refutes his claims.
