Because it's a wind up and a joke about a discussion earlier today that erupted in a separate thread about cute Chinese crime victims. The joke about the teeth was that she's alright until she opens her mouth and you see them. I was hoping for someone to make a worthy remark about it so I could make a follow up joke about whether that person prefers cunnilingus from "normal" teethed girls or uncute meth junkies. It was building up but never quite got there.

All this banter clearly went dimensions over your head. Basically you need to more.

So what do you think happened? Is it common to use mules in Battambang or wherever the hell she was caught? Normally the first thing Khmers do when they are arrested is to rat out everyone involved. Why hasn't that happened here? Go ahead, you have everyone's attention now. The stage is yours.

Yeah, jokes and irony are always difficult to detect online if you are not paying attention. I see this "normal" title as a joke too, but that's because I read the other thread about the "cute" girls.

So, should the news always stick to headlines like "Khmer woman or Khmer man" did this or that ? Do people really want strict neurality ? Average Khmer person commits a crime ? Boring, no ?

She is 7 out of 10, set up by her meth head bf but doesn t realize it yet, he works for a policeman, she is a non-user and has two small children and was guaranteed by her bf that it was the easiest money she could make as he had done it 100's of times before without a hitch.

There is a new mod and he and GM wanted to make us look beyond the title realizing we were on to their exaggerated claims of pretty or cute and they flipped the script. Now we have no choice but to look at any post that has a female/ladyboy or dufus hipster in the title for fear she/he is inaccurately described. Very clever these mods, we all have to get up an hour early to stay ahead of them.

I'm pretty sure that many of the Khmer news sites describe Khmer girls/women as 'srei s'aht' (beautiful girl/woman), and our translator just follows with that.


Though, I'm open to the idea that there's some sort of conspiracy between GM and CC to obfuscate thread titles and stuff like that.

Brody that's a pretty good observation. "Stoic" you had me reaching out for the dictionary (learn something new every day) anyhow that's the saying, but then it could be forgetfulness. Anyway moving on, the meaning, a person who can endure pain or hardship without showing their feelings or complaining. One who is seemingly indifferent to or unaffected by joy, grief, pleasure, or pain.
Then to study or understand the qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis, identity of the stoic could/would have personality disorders, end result, the cute girl has bipolar.

I think people here are extremely good at appearing stoic, it's a good attitude to take when the odds look against you. However there is often a storm brewing in the background.

Same thing in Indonesia, especially Java.

300 years or more of colonization + 50 years of dictatorship + a 3 million people purge + the Javanese demography (150 Millions in 2/3 of Cambodia, so...x13 per km2 i guess) + the religion + the corruption + the powerful networks + the unavoidables random natural disasters tends to do that : being fatalistic, looking stoic, keep low profile and deny responsability in general.

I can get that, even if i don't always accept it.
