yeah true, Cambodians can be quite racist about themselves regards to looking down on the dark skinned khmers, i think they actually see african people as lower than the dark skinned khmers, might not count for every cambodian but i have heard a fair few comments

You are a newbie to Cambodia, but it seems like you know more about it and its people. Cambodians do discriminate each other. People who live in the city always feel that they are better than the one from province. If you have dark skinned they would assume that you are poor.

Yeah, it is really funny. In the west, people spend hours under tanning beds, risking cancer, to get darker skin. Meanwhile Cambodian women cover themselves in bleach, which can't be healthy, trying to get pale skin. I guess the grass is always greener.

Ehh, gotta disagree. There is nothing to admire about a woman who doesn't know when to leave. I feel sad for her, but definitely not admiration.

I guess if you don't have high education and you can't depend on yourself. It is better to have someone you can rely on. i talked to a few people. They said they are willing to stay with someone who can support them instead of working in sweatshop and get $100 per month.
