4 May 2017. A 51 year old New Zealand man, David Allan Divine is reported to have passed away at his rental home in Phnom Penh, a couple days after complaining he had pain in his arm severe enough that his wife suggested he went to the hospital to get checked out. He was found lying by the sofa in his living room at 7:10am by his wife, 29 year old Meas Lyda. There are no suspicious circumstances. David Divine apparently died of a heart attack and the family has requested a traditional Cambodian funeral. RIP.

Seriously if your in Phnom Penh go and get a checkup at Central Hospital http://www.central-hospital.com/or with your preferred GP or service. A consultation with blood tests and doppler scan will probably come to just over $100. Heart disease is occurring in younger people.

I've posted this before but maybe worth repeating:
A new study examining the cadavers of 760 teenagers and young people found early signs of blocked coronary arteries caused by cholesterol buildup, suggesting that preventing future heart disease is “a pediatric problem,” researchers announced today in the journal Circulation.

One-fifth of the young men aged 30 to 34 already had advanced plaques, or deposits of fat, inside their coronary artery, pointing the way towards future heart attacks and strokes. Males were more than twice as likely to have the plaques than women of the same age range.

The biggest risk factors for a clogged artery were found to be obesity and a high level of low-density lipoprotein (LDL), the so-called “bad” cholesterol which forms deposits on artery walls.
