Additional traffic signs introduced
The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has introduced new road signs in a bid to aid driver safety and reduce traffic accidents.

The ministry issued a statement on Sunday, in which it noted that 12 new road signs shall be placed along the Kingdom’s roads.
“If seeing these signs, drivers have to slow down and must follow the meaning of the sign,” the statement said.

The signs will indicate road crosses, junctions and winding roads for motorists, the ministry said.

The ministry added that the 12 signs will feature reflective material to ensure motorists can easily spot them along the roads.

The signs will be in two kinds of yellow, with black directional arrows to represent changes in the road.

Chan Dara and Nou Vathanak, spokesmen for the ministry, could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Transport Minister Sun Chanthol, chairman of the National Road Safety Committee, said on Thursday that the signs are needed because so many motorists continue to disobey the Traffic Law.

Saw a couple with exclamation points this weekend, not sure if they are new but I have no idea what they for.

Haha logic. Ofc why tell drivers beforehand what they mean. So the exclamation point signs are new? I never could suss out what they mean.
