I'm not sure it was ever really public housing, it was all rented privately. The new development will have a lot of apartments too. I agree that it's pretty much useless though. 8)

I wonder what will happen to those ~10% who didn't took the money but instead took an apartment in a new building. Remember that the authorities & developer, Arakawa, who bought the old building/lot offered either cold cash or apartment from the development? Of course since then Arakawa has rented out / sold the plot to the Naga and they are now building this luxury development so will those lucky families get a luxury apartment too?

Salapang building is worse and more dangerous, ha, ha, ha
In 2015 I was attacked by 4 Khmer junkies. After 5 minutes of fighting I luckily could escape with 2 broken ribs, broken nose, black eye, broken finger eye etc.etc.
They got my old Nokia, BUT not my money and not my ring (from my grandpa)! Even they tried to break, hack my right hand finger no way I had given them this ring.
It was 3pm when I finally escaped and my teeshirt was ripped off, no flips, bleeding all over, I tried to get back to my place, took 1 valium and slept. At 6pm I went to Calmette.
By the way: My g/f cried for 2 hours after she saw me, they are like this. I still love KOW!

Construction of Naga 3 Integrated Entertainment Complex starts with record breaking foundation works

The construction of Cambodia’s largest and most prestigious integrated entertainment complex has commenced.

Work on Naga 3 is now moving smoothly two years after it was made public.

In January, workers started laying the foundation for the massive project.

Based on the project design, the main feature of Naga 3 will be a 75 storeys hotel tower. “This will be the tallest building in Cambodia upon completion,” its developers noted.

The $3.5 billion project, which sits on Phnom Penh’s Sangkat Tonle Bassac, will also include two blocks of 52 storeys hotel tower.

Within the complex will be 17 floors of multi-function podium block (life style products ,high-tech theme park, entertainment, meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) facilities, etc. There are also four basement floors of car parking and back of the house supports.

Naga 3 will add close to 3,000 hotel rooms and suites to the existing NagaWorld Complex, according to local media reports. The Total Gross Floor Area for the project reaches 500,000sqm.

Anyone know where they are up to ? According to this website the construction began 3 years behind schedule.
