Re: New Hospital
Wow, what a response. Wanting the LDS church to reform the entire Cambodian medical system to western standards, as well as bring the average Cambodian pharmacy to Western standards as well, before any credit is given.
The church is already building the first public hospital in 20 years in Cambodia, and refurbishing 3 other hospitals as well. All this from a church thousands of miles away. Helping Cambodians just because they are fellow humans and deserve care.
They could have easily invested in more luxury villas and SUVs like many of the local leadership and not bothered to care about the welfare of the Khmer people.
Sure the Scientologists could help Cambodia, but chooses not to.
Yet the LDD is still looked down upon by CEO members. As opposed to the authorities who are looked up to.
Throughout history, Churches have established universities and hospitals throughout Europe and the US.
I still think they did some good and deserve kudos. Religion is a force to make people good.
My opinions, of course.
Sorry for the long response.

Not to mention all the other public hospitals like Calmette, Ang Duong, Soviet-Khmer hospital etc that have had huge new facilities and buildings constructed in the past few years.Kammekor wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 7:16 pmI love propaganda from the church.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2024 7:09 pm

Silence, exile, and cunning.

Re: New Hospital
I think that sentence sums up your naive - if not outright infantile - understanding of the world pretty well. Back in the real world, on the other hand... meh.
