New form to keep track of foreigners in Kingdom- Foreigners Present in Cambodia System (FPCS)
Re: New form to keep track of foreigners in Kingdom
Sounds like Cambo is no fun anymore, starting now.
Of course all these forms and apps will be conveniently handled by the same tourist agencies we get our visa extensions from.
The government will realize in a few months they are killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.
It just depends on where more of their foreign exchange is coming from: Chinese, long-term expats, or short-term tourists.
I will start looking west not east. There may be no place left in Asia.

The app is aiming for hotels, guest houses, etc etc. A 'rented house' or 'private house' or 'villa' isn't even in the list of accommodations....peter.storm wrote: ↑Fri May 01, 2020 1:46 pmThe app appears to be for accommodation owners who would most likely have smartphones.rexwell wrote:What if I said I had the Tefler's Special - a Nokia 105 dumbphone? Would the police have a whip-round and buy me a nice S10? In these Covidy days, times are tough. I'm only on 50% pay.

Not really, you can download the app for free. And I haven't gotten an extension from a tour company for about 10 years.

For house name I just put "house".beaker wrote: ↑Mon May 04, 2020 5:41 pm The only tricky part for me was the - house name - as it is just a rental house without a name like a guesthouse would have. I just entered the house number and street. Other than that it was self explainitory and simple to use.
Usually the police come to the house and fill out paperwork and take copy of passport and face pic.
I'm puzzled as to why they would not want a copy of a persons current visa or did I somehow miss that part ?
Phum number I had no idea, but being about 100m from the Sangkat office I chose 1 and hoped for the best.
And agree about the visa part, surprised it didn't require that.

The Interior Ministry’s General Department of Immigration said today that it will not issue visa extension for foreigners who failed to be register in Foreigners Present in Cambodia System by July.
