Sen Monorom City: A Khmer man, Chom Daviv, 26, received a nasty shock when the girlfriend that he thought he had killed and dumped in a garbage tip, came back to life and reported him to the police for attempted murder.
On the night of May 6 around 10pm, the suspect took the victim to a secluded spot, where he tried to break up with the victim, but she refused to listen to him and fell on the ground crying. The suspect grabbed some wire and thought he had strangled his girlfriend to death, before disposing of the body. The woman, a 23 year old Phnong resident of Sen Monorom City, later recovered consciousness under a pile of garbage and went to seek help.

The suspect confessed to the crime when he was arrested by police on 7 May.
