Cambodia news, (Siem Reap): On February 15, 2021, after receiving a complaint from the victim's family concerning the rape of a minor, Siem Reap crime officers conducted a search and arrested a suspect for questioning.

The suspect, Kong Sam Oeun, male, 30 years old, Cambodian, confessed that he took the 12-year-old student as a motortaxi passenger on February 14, 2021 at 5:00pm to an area in the Phnom Krom forest in Phnom Krom village, Siem Reap commune (the scene is not clear because it was dark at night). When he arrived at the above point in the quiet forest, he forcibly slapped and menaced the victim, and then he raped her. After that, the suspect drove the victim to her house, told her not to tell anyone, and then fled on a motorcycle.

Currently, the suspect and exhibits (such as the victim's clothes) are being processed by the Siem Reap City Police in cooperation with the Anti-Human Trafficking and Juvenile Protection Plan to build a case and send the suspect to court for legal action.
