Cambodia News (Kandal Province):: On 26 November 2022, the police force of Ponhea Leu District sent two suspects, a mother and her son, to the Kandal Provincial Prosecutor's Office for questioning and to make a legal decision related to the case. They were arrested on 24 November, and the illegal drug trafficking took place in the community of Tang Khiev, Srah Po village, Phnom Bat commune, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province.

According to the report of Ponhea Leu District Police, the two suspects are:
1. 20 years old Hem Kunthea alias (Atong) also known as the drug dealer;
2-Name: Chuon Chamroeun, Gender: Female, Age: 51, Nationality: Khmer, Occupation: Drug dealer
Both of them live in Tang Khiev community, Srah Por village, Phnom Bat commune, Ponhea Leu district, Kandal province.

After the arrest, the police confiscated the following exhibits:
- 24 packs of methamphetamine (ice) weighing a total of 81.11 grams.
- Equipment for packaging and using some drugs.
- 2 telephones.
- 2 motorcycles.
- 1 sword.
- 4 pieces of Wing vouchers.


The two suspects are currently being questioned at the Kandal Provincial Prosecutor's Office, pending their appearance before Kandal provincial court.

That works out at about 3.37 grams per bag. Close to an eighth of an ounce but then I'm not at all sure they use imperial measures for narcotics here.

Maybe they were trying to recover some of the money lost in their last operation regarding Herbalife Nutrition products sales ?
