I will bet theres a fair few well brought Christians,,,gone astray .good old Christian boys from Merica in Cambodia done their shaggin and drinkin and thinkin ... I aint no happier ! God bless the Mormons. Where did I go wrong ? LOL

My best friend was in an abusive marriage and ended up having an affair. I was called in to see the pastor and was told in no uncertain terms to end my friendship with her or I would be going to hell.
I told them I'd rather be in hell with her than in heaven with a bunch of fucking hypocrites.

That was the final straw - I left and never went back.

The abuse I experienced from the church was comparable to an abusive spouse - manipulation, emotional blackmail, smoke and mirrors and psycho-babble mumbo jumbo - all wrapped in a package that looks like love, joy, acceptance and peace from the outside but once you get sucked in, it's about becoming their perfect little cookie-cutter tithe-paying obedient little member.
Makes me sick.

Mormonism is a loopy belief system but produces some very fine and decent people.

The LDS Church is highly-esteemed by HE - they provided 1,500 wheelchairs to this
country.

The LDS does have an impressive ancestral data bank. You can do basic searches for free then a paid subscription will net you (possibly)many documents about your american heritage.
