If you don’t mind, I’m trying to enjoy my Chinese chicken with egg fried rice and bottle of Tsing Tao here!Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 10:03 pmOpen but full Thats, ummm, an interesting concept. Carry on.phuketrichard wrote:i hear the glory hole is still OPEN

I heard the crowds come and go in spurts. I'll drop by at the end of the month for a few days...see what's hangin'.Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 10:03 pmOpen but full Thats, ummm, an interesting concept. Carry on.phuketrichard wrote:i hear the glory hole is still OPEN

I read somewhere recently (sorry, I can’t remember where), that 22% of tourists in SKV are Chinese.
That may be true, but when one takes into consideration the working Chinese population, I would make a conservative guess that 80% of the people I see, excluding Khmer, to be from China.
I’ve nothing against the Chinese at all, I lived in China for a couple of years, but such is their influence right now, I sometimes have to remind myself that I am actually in Cambodia, and not Macao!
Some/most of those new buildings are truly fugly, and don’t belong in a medium-sized Cambodian beach resort.

Let’s think positive; I doubt many Chinese speak Khmer yet therefore la crème de la crème among us can have the upper hand in many disputes.

Thinking positive, they, the Chinese may always offer the biggest money to settle any dispute, .Barang_doa_slae wrote: ↑Fri Nov 10, 2017 3:22 pm Let’s think positive; I doubt many Chinese speak Khmer yet therefore la crème de la crème among us can have the upper hand in many disputes.

yeah i mean i thought it was bad 5 months ago, but even as Rozzie had warned me i wasnt expecting to have changed THAT much in such a short time,AndyKK wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 7:53 pmIs it that bad Jamie! What of the square?Jamie_Lambo wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2017 4:33 pm just turned up in Sihanoukville and nearly threw up in my mouth, its turned into chinatown
went down the square last night, its full of young chinese boys/men hanging out, even the gloryhole had about 6 of them in
the buildings along the road from the downtown bend to the golden lions on the left hand side is all knocked down and chinese developments, cranes and construction everywhere on both sides its a right eyesore, chinese billboards on the construction sites, and all the shops that are already finished are all chinese signed no english
even went with some girls to eat soup at the night market at like 5am, a thing ive liked to do for many years,
they had already to my great disappointment demolished the night market before i had left but now its an ugly construction site,
there is still a few restaurants fortunately on the other side of the road on ktv street but its not quite the same
