Monkey Gets Shot After Biting Two Kids at School

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

I have seen kids being cruel to animals, but not monkeys. If someone picks on a monkey, all of the other monkeys come to their aid. Kids would quickly learn not to pick on monkeys. It is also too big. Kids would not pick on a monkey that size. But then, none of us were there to see what happened.

Calm down everybody. The monkeys were tranquilized and removed from the school environment. That seems like a logical action to prevent further problems.
After being tranquilized, the monkeys were sent to Tamao mountain.

I think the monkey should be killed. If it comes across other people in its new location, it may bite again. Particularly when you realize that rabies is common in Cambodia.
I suspect "the monkeys were sent to Tamao mountain" is referring to a restaurant. Cambodians do no like wasting good meat. Chinese would probably pay a fortune to eat the live brains. If those monkeys actually gor out of PP any way except in someones stomach i would be very suprised

The monkeys at Angkor Wat are mean motherfu##ers. As people feed them, they have lost all fear of humans.
