Ministries to start enforcing laws

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

If foreign owned businesses are forced to comply with that and to pay the official taxes here (which are just crazily high), then there will be no foreign owned businesses anymore. The asset, financial and profit situation for most foreigners in Cambodia is already dire, and such stupid (I'm tempted to say racist) laws won't improve the Cambodian economy.

Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

Retroactive with no warning; what a crock! What about those of us who have a wife and children here and haven't had employment for a while? Do they expect us to pay when we are living on overseas retirement pensions? It just sucks.

I guess they expect us to leave. The political environment has apparently changed with greetings from that Sam Rainsy asshole.
Interestingly there are no indicators that they are going to tax the rich, wealthy and corrupt in this country. They think that the 8000 foreigners living permanently here are responsible to repair it all. Fascinating idiots.

I think the taxes would hurt. Also the teachers and other workers of NGO's would need to make sure their business (school) is registered with the appropriate ministry and has the right paperwork. For private business owners ... you would have to expense a lot on the books and it could get nasty.

I don't know whether to say wait ..... or do it soon as possible. Now would be the time to call on any friends you may have to take care of it.

They have started checking businesses.

Also, I have the new Chakras in Khmer, so someone would have to translate it. It is a file I got from an auditor from Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training. I do not know how to attach it on this site. It is an adobe file from the Ministry.

Your mother stated, "They have started checking businesses." I know they have started in Phnom Penh and Siam Reap, do you know of any other provinces where they are ferreting out foreigners and I don't mean Vietnamese? I can't help you post the prakas, but if you post it I' ll get it translated, so you don't have to rely on googely gook.
