PP metro train system by 2023?

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Dude, this is something unbelievable. A miracle, if you will....

There is a bakery a few blocks away, and I shit you not....

They make big pizzas here that are really good. Freshly baked crust that they do right there in an open, brick oven. Heavy on the cheese and lots of good vegetables, including some killer olives...

The craziest thing is..... IT'S ONLY A DOLLAR FIFTY! ! Literally $1.50 USD for a big ass pizza! Unreal! ! I'll have to post a picture because it seems impossible...

Also have some really good looking rib-eye steaks in the fridge that costs $3.50 each. A cheap food heaven here.

The middle east is the best what can happen to you regarding food and prices. Has always been like that and it's unlikely that it is going to change. Reading your post I'm missing it already. Getting hungry now, and I'm off for the day. Cheers.
Und der Haifisch der hat Tränen
Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht

In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

I really had no idea about that, heading here.

I mean, Cambodia can be cheap for food, but some of the stuff here is almost unbelievable. Even meat and cheese is dirt cheap. I actually thought they clearly made a mistake on the price of the pizza, as it was just too much ingredients for $1.50. But nope, they have these deals advertised everywhere.

And some random food last night from a Syrian restaurant... Dude spoke good English and had even lived in Florida for a couple years...

^ This is actually a plate of steak tips with random shit piled on top.

And this is what we be cruising around in..... With gas costing $0.12 a liter, this V8 bad boy costs less than $10 to fill up! :good:

^Arguing with the valet parking to make sure he was the real deal, LoL!

Believe it or not, it hasn't been a problem at all.

I think I deal with more non-Saudis than Saudis.

And almost everyone seems to speak enough English for price quotes, etc.

All the cab drivers seem to be Indian, Pakistani or whatever.

Also, most of the big international chains seem to have a plethora of Philippino staff, mostly all men, unfortunately.

I was thinking of trying to learn some Arabic, but it seems (almost) pointless.

That food looks wonderful. You don't just get slivers of veggies but big hunks. How was the food, General?
