2 Men Killed and 1 Injured in Kampot Because They Failed to Yield to a Train Heading to Sihanoukville

Kampot: Two men died instantly and another one injured at 10:30pm on May 8, 2016 after being hit by a train.

The three victims were seen riding together on one motorcycle and failed to yield to a train that was traveling towards Sihanoukville.

The victims were:

Tab Saren, called Krem, 24, living at Trapang Kdol village, Trapang Sala Kang Lech commune.

Soy Chandara, called Chech, 35, a teacher at Kea Thavog high school, located in Bonteay Meas district.

The injured man's identity is unknown, said a Bonteay Meas district police officer.

The officer said that the victims were likely to be drunk since there were two cans of beer found nearby the dead bodies.

Had to be blind drunk as I rode the train and it got up to a screaming 35mph.

I think there is 2 trains a day but I could be wrong on this.

I suppose they haven't put any warning systems in place on the crossings yet, so they are just seeing if it's worth doing or not. Trial period.

they have barriers on the crossing points but do they work?

How do you grasp, ''not yielding to a TRAIN". Do the authorities prevent the train from continuing till an investigation is performed? Or just pull the pieces best as can and move along?
