Medical Student Hit His Head With Stick In a Suicide Attempt

Phnom Penh: A 20 years old man was believed to hit himself in the head with a stick as a suicide attempt. The man was seen lying unconsciously on the floor in the pool of blood in his house in Borey Sony located in Stung Meanchey commune, Meanchey district, Phnom Penh.

The identity of the victim is unknown. After the incident, the man was brought for treatment at Russian Hospital. The neighbors said, they heard the scream of “Help”. So, they went to see it from the back of the house and spotted the man lying on the floor with his head covered with blood. Later, they reported it to local authority.
Police said, after having arrived the scene, police cut the lock to go inside the house as he locked the front door. After that, police contacted the ambulance to take him to hospital.

Police concluded that it was a suicidal attempt with the man trying to kill himself with a stick. Police were convinced that the man was committing suicide because there was no blood stain on other places and there was no other person inside the house once the police broke into the house.

The victim lives with his parents, however his parents don’t really come to stay with him as they have another house. Both of his parents work as doctors.
