Phnom Penh Massage Parlor Held Up at Gunpoint

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): At 17:30 pm of October 14, 2021, one man, out of a gang of three suspects, was arrested by law enforcement for armed robbery at the 333 Massage Parlor on street 371, Mal village, Sangkat/Khan Dongkor, at 14:00 pm on September 29. The arrested suspect was a 36-year-old man, Kuy Sotheavuth from Prek Takong 1 village, Sangkat Chak Angre Leu, Khan Mean Chey. The victim was a 34-year-old woman, Doeurn Sophoeurn, a masseur who lives at the site.

According to the police, on the day of the incident, the woman was sitting in the parlor waiting for walk-in customers, when the three suspects, a 36-year-old Kuy Sotheavuth, a 25-year-old man, Thorng, and a 26-year-old man, Dun, showed up in a tuk-tuk and took the victim to the massage room.
The victim was caught off guard when the 36-year-old Kuy Sotheavuth took out a handgun and ordered her at gunpoint to give them all her valuables. The suspects got 750USD, a platinum necklace, and 2 smartphones, 1 Oppo and 1 Vivo.

After the robbery, the suspects fled the scene successfully. The victim reported to the police and the authorities checked the CCTV at the massage parlor and identified the suspects. In the end, the police have located the prime suspect, arrested him, and seized a handgun, no bullets, and a knock-off Gucci cap, on street 371 in Prek Takong 1, Sangkat Chak Angre Leu, Khan Mean Chey.
The suspect and the evidence are being held in custody while there is a further investigation on the two other suspects.

And here's me thinking Massage Parlor's are closed due to the ruling of covid.
