Married British Couple (Robert Goldie-Wells & Imogen Goldie-Wells) Commit Suicide in Sihanoukville, Cambodia Guesthouse

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

tbh going off her mothers facebook comments, i think its quite obvious that she was struggling with bi polar depression, and that her mother whilst obviously upset, sounded quite understanding of her daughters situation

Pmp, I can't really issue a cease and desist order but please consider the feelings of their friends and family who may well be following this forum. This doesn't seem like the time or place to become involved in oneupsmanship. There is plenty of that OTF.

If people chime in without even reading the previous posts - it's fair enough to point out what they obviously missed.

NO MATTER HOW RIGHT YOU MAY THINK YOU ARE 1) Consider the circumstances, then 2) STOP.

Because this is not an entertainment show. Have some humanity.

Robert Wells' mother was here looking for information on her son's death this morning. She wrote:
Collette wrote:Devastating to find this information before I have been officially informed of it
She must have seen the suicide note posted online by now - I'm sure she knows what her son's handwriting looks like.

There has been NO SUGGESTION from either of the two families involved, or friends in Sihanoukville, or the police, or anyone else, that there is anything at all about these two self-inflicted deaths that looks suspicious or unlikely.
When you presume to know the unknown victims posted on an online forum even better than their own nearest and dearest, that's when you should STFU.

That's why.
