Man Looking for his Wife, Attacks Neighbor with Cleaver

Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On June 7, 2021, a 38-year-old man, Peng Leangngeth, was injured after he was attacked with a cleaver in Kandal village, Sangkat Chbar Ampov, Phnom Penh, by Pov Chamroeun, a 27-year-old man, suspected to be a drug addict.

Before the incident, the victim was sleeping when the suspect came to his house armed with a cleaver and asked him: " Have you seen my wife ?" The woman was not there, and the victim said he hadn't seen her.
Then the suspect became enraged, hacking the man about the head with the cleaver, causing injury. The local people heard the victim's cries for help and called the police.

The suspect was arrested and sent to the police station to follow the legal procedure. The victim was taken to the hospital.
