Man Hung himself after Violently Hit his 2 years old Son

Kompong Chhang: According to Koh Santepheapdaily News, a young widower hung himself after he violently hit his 2 years old son; moreover he was upset for being poor while his wife left him behind with the kid. He was found hanging around 7:30 pm on 3, September, 2015.

According to the resource, the young man who decided to end his life name Meang Sokea, 27 years old and he is a construction worker. He doesn’t own a house; he was living with his aunt. His wife left him behind almost a year ago. They have two kids, a four years old daughter who the mother brought along with and a 2 years old son who was living with him in poverty. Sometime the 2 years old son was looked after and fed by the neighbors.

Before he hung himself, he was drinking with his 3 friends in the evening. On that evening, his son was sick, so he asked the villager to coin him. Then he went to buy some medicines fro him, however because he was sick, he kept crying which really annoyed the dad. As a result, the dad hit the son which caused him to have an injury in the mouth. After that, he left his son with his female neighbor and gave her 20000 riel and asked her to bring him to hospital and he went back to drink.

While he was drinking with his friends, he asked them to look after his son when he is gone. Because he was upset and couldn’t control his temper which led to hitting of his son, so he brought a scissor and stabbed his right hand. His friend stopped him and blamed him.

He cried and went back to his hut and shut the door. Because he was disappeared for so long, his friends came to see him at his hut, and unexpectedly they found him hanging. They took him down and brought him to the hospital, but he was already dead.
