I always wondering why missus and her friends always insisted on eating at Oyster House 2.
Now I know why.
(Bad joke).
RIP poor guy. And condolences to his family.

re: that headline I was told this guy overloaded on the weight loss medicine causing his death. He must have taken a massive amount.

Ahhh.. Cambodian Oysters. We eat main three varieties in the mangroves but there are a few more specialist species.
I am not a huge fan, to be honest, but the family loves them. (of course!! it's seafood)
I was bought up as a fundamentalist so prefer them raw, straight off the rocks.
I wouldd never eat them raw here. The family makes a kind of paste/sauce but with a ton too much chilli.
Even cooked, i only eat them from the very very cleanest part of the system within an hour or two from being "picked".
Cooked on the boat.
Eating oysters in Phnom Penh? I am a little surprised to be frank.
No way Jose.
but my wife would probably say he died with a smile on his face.
I hope so. RIP honorary Mangrove Man.

Post News posted that he died of a heart attack after taking too many "weight loss pills".
A photo of the bedroom with the deceased, as shown on the darknet forum, does not give many clues: a bottle of something, a jar of what looks like vitamins. It is not clear exactly what product is supposed to have caused his death.

Surprised that shit filters from amongst the most extremely polluted waters on the planet are served up in the finest restaurants 200 k's from the nearest clean water? Yes.
Everyday Cambodian guts need cheap protein and can handle it. Mine wouldn't.
'Big fan of oyster sauce tho'. That travels.

I read on here some time ago about a slimming pill/medication that revs up your metabolism and internal body temperature so much that it will eventually start to cook your organs!
Re: Man Found Dead at The Oyster House 1 Restaurant in Phnom Penh
I was going to eat them once here, in a cheap restaurant on 118 (now closed). After 20 mins a bloke on a bike turned up with a plastic bag with a load of oysters in it. 5 mins later they turned up on a plate of (uncrushed ice) and opened. The shells were warm and so too were the contents. I declined, much to the surprise of my eating companion who proceeded to eat the lot.SternAAlbifrons wrote: ↑Wed Dec 09, 2020 2:38 am Surprised that shit filters from amongst the most extremely polluted waters on the planet are served up in the finest restaurants 200 k's from the nearest clean water?
