Cambodia News (Kandal): On 9 September 2022, a case of drug trafficking and illegal use was found to have taken place at 5:00 AM in Sangvor Village, Kampong Luong Commune, Ponhea Leu District, Kandal Province.
A 34-year-old man named Duk Somara, alias Duk Sokna, who was dressed as a female, was interrogated and found with four small packages of drugs when the Police Inspectorate of Ponhea Leu District on patrol stopped to question and search the suspect.
He was then immediately arrested and brought to the inspectorate for further interrogation. Police then went to search his residence.


The suspect had drugs in his urine, and was found to be in possession of 1 - 5 small packages of methamphetamine (ice) weighing 2.61 grams in total and some drug consumption devices. He also had a mobile phone (RealMi), and a blue motorcycle (1Q 2537).



The suspect confessed that he traded and used the drugs which were found in his house. The money from selling drugs was used to buy more drugs from an unknown drug dealer in Sorya Mall, Phnom Penh, with the suspect spending at least KHR300,000 each time.

The suspect is currently being held at the Ponhea Leu District Police Inspectorate for further investigation.
