Authorities detain one suspect for intentional violence

Cambodia News: The National Police have detained a suspect for intentional use of weapons on May 9, 2020 at 17:30 pm at the victim's home in Koh Thom Village, Koh Thom District, Kandal Province.
The victim, Chhuon Tha, is a 41-year-old Cambodian national who lives in Kandal Koh Thom village, and the suspect was identified as Thorn Theng, a 32-year-old male residing in the same village.

The suspect admitted that he went to the victim's house with some weapons and attacked the man because they had a disagreement, and the victim had insulted and beaten him in the past.
The victim fled his house and filed a complaint to the authorities. Officers from Koh Thom police station went to the scene and detained the suspect, and confiscated his aray of weapons, including a long sword, 2 cleavers, 1 wooden bat and 1 sharp knife.
