Malaysian ILANGO KAILASAM Arrested after Stealing Phone from Woman in Phnom Penh Shop

Phnom Penh: On April 24, Malaysian man, ILANGO KAILASAM, 42 years old (born on September 3, 1976), was arrested after stealing a phone form a Cambodian woman at 4 pm on April 23, at Photo shop on Phreah Sihanouk boulevard, Sangkat Beung Keng kong1, Phnom Penh. The victim was identified as Toun Leakena, 26 year old, a staff at the photo shop.

After losing her phone, the victim went talk to the shop owner to check security camera, where they saw the suspect was stealing her phone. On April 24, when the suspect went back to shop again, she asked him "did you stole my phone ?", but the suspect denied it. Then she showed him the video of the security camera, but when the Malaysian man continued to deny the theft despite the proof, she decided to file a complaint with the police.

The police went to the scene and arrested the suspect immediately and he was taken to police post for questioning.
