Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): At 7:00 pm on September 15, 2022, there was a shocking accident, where a luxury car crashed into a homeless man, causing him to break his arm and seriously injure himself,in Chamroeun Phal Village, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh. After hitting the poor man and knocking him down, the car driver drove off without stopping. Unfortunately, it seems that the car license plate was not recorded by witnesses at the scene.

After the incident, a nearby resident called an ambulance to transport the injured man, but when it arrived, they saw that the victim was a poor man with no money, and without any relatives to pay for medical treatment, so they refused to take him. Residents then contacted another ambulance, but it never came.

Seeing that the ambulances would not help the accident victim, the local people came to assist him out of compassion, with many of them donating money to take the victim to the hospital for treatment.
Then, while people were looking for a way to transport the victim to the hospital, suddenly the other ambulance finally arrived at the scene to transport the victim to the rescue.

In the above case, the team of Post News observed that the local authorities did not show up to intervene or assist in any way, and the victim of the accident was saved by some kind people who donated their money for his ambulance and treatment. The hit and run driver has not been identified, and it seems that he need not worry about being made accountable for his conduct.

This is disgusting, thankfully some people with a conscience and compassion assisted the victim.
Hopefully some CCTV comes to light that identifies the perpetrator.
As for the responsibile authorities, the less said...........
