As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. Sihanoukville was always the favourite holiday destination for Khmers. Where do they go now?

So if GDP is US$22 billion that is a debt to GDP ration of 26% just to China. Seems high.

Cambodia’s foreign debt rose to $6 billion in 2017 as economists ask state to be transparent
Moeun Nhean | Publication date 22 December 2017 |

With the added loans for this year Cambodia would be looking at over 8 Billion.

How can they expect to repay the interest let alone pay the loans without giving away things like Koh Rong and the Ports and all airports on 99 year leases like China demanded of Sri Lanka.

Well done you greedy pricks in charge... =@

I guess if USA can get away with not paying off it's debt other countries can do the same.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Unfortunately Cambodia can’t print a few US$ trillion when it gets into a tight spot, like the US can.

Debt is OK if they use it to pay for infrastructure but from what I hear most of it gets siphoned off. The roads certainly don’t seem to last for long.
