Phnom Penh: The police went to shut down a KTV called Reatrey Samnang Laor on the street 2004, Sangkat Katab1, at 8 pm on June 21, after the owner and staff attacked 3 customers who were asking about an inflated bill.

According to the victims, before the incident at 11 pm on June 15, they took their motorbike to the KTV where they saw that a case of beer and some food cost $ 30. They thought that was an ok price, so they stayed to drink at that KTV. However, after they had drank 3 cases of beer and a bottle of water, instead of being presented with a bill for $91 as they expected, they saw that they had been charged $250.

So the victims asked the owner to explain how he could charge them $250, because the 3 of them, including the woman, only drank 3 cases of beer. They said they would pay $120, but that was not enough for the owner, and he and his staff attacked the customers with knives and beer bottles.

Two of the victims were seriously injured and they were taken to the hospital immediately, and the other victim was slightly injured. On June 21, after leaving the hospital, the three victims filed a complaint with the police to arrest the owner and the staff for assault.

After received the complaint, the police went to the scene to arrest the KTV owner and the staff, three men, a woman and a ladyboy. All of them were taken to the police station for questioning.

The local people said that the owner of Reatrey Samnang Laor, has 3 KTVs on the street 2004, and he is known to have a lot of problems with his customers. Last year he even got taken to court by some customers, but he was released after paying $ 5,000 for bail.
This time all the suspects have been kept in detention while awaiting trial.

no not really,

its not just 3 guys drinking, its 3 guys, 3 girls, 1 host, and a can for the young lad who brings the case up, can easily get through a case in an hour, just me and 1 mate did a case in 45mins down 2004 street

the rate for the room is: 1 box + 3-4 plates of food and the room for 1 hour is $30, the women are free, they just drink your beer and you give them a few dollars when you leave

i play drinking games and smash through the cans, im a binge drinker
TBH its not really so many when you break it down...
id normally have about 10 cans, my mate maybe 7, the girls and the host maybe 6 between them and 1 can for the youth who brought up the crate to begin with,

in England me and my best mate smash numerous pints of what we call Suicide Shandy Snakebites before we go out (Beer + 7.5% Cider + Smirnoff Ice + Double shot of Vodka) so drinking small cans of beers isnt a big task really... (not a smug comment btw, binge drinking is british culture lol)
