Korea Provide US$8M in Grant Aid for Specialist ENT Center
Cambodia to Construct New Building of ENT Centre
AKP Phnom Penh, October 07, 2019 --
Cambodia will construct a new building of Ears Nose Throat Centre (ENT Centre) with the financial support of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
According to Deputy Country Director of KOICA in Cambodia Mr. Kang Hwang Wook, KOICA will provide US$8 million in grant aid to build the new building.
Expected to start construction in late December 2019 or early 2020, the project will be built on over 4,000 square metres at the Preah Ang Duong Hospital, said KOICA in a press release AKP received this afternoon.
The five-storey building will feature several advance equipment for diagnosis, treatment and operation, to help improve medical service of hospital, it pointed out.
Besides upgrading physical infrastructure, the capacity of specialist doctors and staff will be advanced via provision of in-service training programme and transferring advanced knowledge and sharing experience from Korean doctors.
